Forgive and forget dating advice
Friday, April 30th, 2010Hey CupidFish I need some dating advice, so here’s the story. I met this guy (in the past) online and we dated for a couple month. In the beginning we just talked via IM and then recently he emailed me his number and I called him back. It’s interesting because I called him back after 6 days of receiving the email and he was very defensive for a reason unknown. Anyway, what I liked about him was, he seems to be very competitive. He is a very productive person who loves to do extreme outdoor sports, and wants to be a pro-bassfishing angler. I don’t know why but it seems like he always has to prove himself…then outwardly (verbally) make it…known that he has everything good going on in his life and how so productive he is bla bla bla. Then when I told him I am interested meeting a companion that does not need to prove anything to me but more so “attraction rather then promotion”.. he got upset and hung up on me. Shall I just forgive and forget and move on or pursue him because deep-down inside he is a good person? – Thanks Jackie
Fishing a texas rig in lake Corsicana
Thursday, April 29th, 2010
I live close to a nice lake in Central Texas and last Spring as it turned to summer the lake became overgrown with lily- pads, and weeds. So my question is, how well does a Texas rigged worm work, when dragging it on top of lily pads? I need a weedless apoach to catching the largemouth bass in the lake! Any help or technique tips would be appreciated.

That damn fish smell
Thursday, April 29th, 2010
I am like most and like to catch fish and cook them for dinner, but the smell lingers so much I can smell it in my clothes, couch, glasses. I’ve tried leaving on the kitchen fan, opening windows and burning candles and scented oils. But it still smells like fish the next day no matter what I do. What is the best way to get the fish smell out of my house? What can I do?-Thanks

Beginners rod & reel combo?
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010
Beginners rod & reel combo advice needed. I joined cupidfish to meet women and not so much of a fisherman. So I am thinking about going fishing this summer and need a rod and reel “new guy” combo suggestion. I will be fishing from the coast/bank of a lake or a boat. In short, an all-around- rod/reel if possible? Price should not be the main indicator, rather ease of use.
Thanks!!

Walleye Fishing or bust?
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010
Evening CupidFish anglers. I got the weekend off and i’ll be heading to lake in (upstate) New York fishing for walleye. So my question for some walleye fishing fanatics like me is- its not a very deep lake but its one of the best in the country for walleye. The best place to catch them is supposed to be near these two islands in the middle of the lake and its about-30 ft deep. I went there last week and there was tons of people fishing there and they were catching them like crazy, but didn’t have any luck and was jigging and had a worm at the end of the jig. Any tips on how to catch these walleye? What bait is best? Should i use deep diving crank baits or troll with a spinner or keep jigging? I need techniques and tips. Also, any one who has every fished Oneida lake in New York any tips or hot spots? Thanks!
Lake fishing bass Tips needed
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010It’s been ages since the last time I went lake fishing or fishing on lakes/ponds. I’ve been hitting Saltwater hard for the last 25 years here on the EastCoast. Now I’d like to slow things down a bit because it’s just too damn expensive to run a boat in the ocean for me. So I thought id give bass-fishing a try and just wanted some tips on large or small mouth bass fishing or any type of lake fish, tips on what type of artificial bait or real bait i can use to catch these fish and a good recommended fishing line I can add to my rod (uglystik) I don’t own a freshwater boat and that’s how most people catch their fish because they go in the middle of lake and fish so will that be a problem?? please help me to get started

South African angler needs US advice
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010Good day CupidFish! I am Henrik from South Africa. When fishing RSA we use dips, basically organic and oil based or a mix of sauces that we add either a live or fish based bait, or a “milie bomb”. A millie bomb is a spring like contraption that is made out of wire, with a weight in it. African anglers make a dough made from pieces of corn, flour, and the water in which the fish inhabitants. So there is different flavors like banana, ETC. What happens is the fish are attracted to the smell of it. Plus we also use whole frogs as bait and a doves torso. please don’t think we are crazy Africans, anyway. Do you guys in the us have any methods for catching sweet water fish that I could use over here? If you really want to research what fish we have im gonna give you a small list of our fresh water fish.

Saltwater angler going freshwater
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010Hello all, thought i’d join and then ask a question about freshwater fishing. I’ve been a saltwater angler for 25 years and want to start freshwater fishing. My question is instead of going out and buying new gear will surf fishing rods, reels, and lures work for freshwater fishing? If not, what kind of equipment will I need to get for perch, walleye, trout, bass, crappie, catfish, etc. – Thanks Al in Georgia.
Is 43 too old to date?
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010Due to being 43 years it’s hard to find a women and it’s tough to find because for me I really don’t know what to do after being married for 20 years and now divorced. I’ve joined here because I like outdoor activities and looking for a kind caring women healthy enough for outdoor activities. All I’ve been finding in the real world are women with hang-ups with kids in their 20’s and they have a “save me” type attitude… NONE have wanted to go outdoors or activity get involved and just want to sit home as if they’re afraid to leave their home for a minute. I went out on a date with a women just last week and 1/2 way through the date she looked nervous. I asked her what the problem was (thinking it was me) and if you wanted me to drive her home. Her answer was she was worried her older son would break in the house and steal things because she was not home… Now thats a sign to move on and try and find a different women.
Dennis.
