So me and some friends are heading down to the Keys Florida in June. We will be on a student budget and don’t have a lot of money to spend, but we do intend to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. We are all very big on fishing and I was wondering do you have to get a charter boat to go fishing? Because, I looked into it and they are too expensive, This may sound so dumb, but can they just bring their own rods and just fish on the beach. Does anyone know of a cheap place where they can rent a boat of their own maybe, or maybe a cheap charter boat? I know that may sound silly, but if there is tell me? also tell me of any great places to go or things to do. We already booked our snorkeling trip, but is there anything else? Also do they need a license to fish on the beach?
Thanks Elle

Lake Martin Alabama striper fishing any good? If so, what method would you recommend artificial bait for them or live bait for them? If you have fished there do you have GPS Coordinates to good stripe fishing locations? Also if you have GPS Coordinates for good Large Mouth bass fishing spots on Lake Martin id love those to. and what did you use to catch them? I know I asking a bit too much, but I have other area lakes I’d be willing to share my honey-hole spots for trade!
Tight lines,
Mac

I went to Puerto Rico last year and had a blast crab fishing. We used crab traps and caught and cooked a bucket full and it was delicious. I want to try crabbing in Florida and looking for some good crab fishing spots in Central WC Florida where it is possible to set traps close to shore or (if legal) off a pier or bridge with triangular crab traps?? Thanks

Afternoon. I was looking at a few of the ladies profiles and saw one with a few tattoo’s and wonder if any one here has a problem dating/marry a women with tattoo’s? I have two so far and both of which are on my right and left leg. The one on my left leg is an orange koi fish. So cupidfish members do you think tattoo’s are so bad? Would it be odd to say, when I see a women with tattoo’s it turns me off even if I have them myself?
Doug.

I took an early jump on Spring fishing, but recently I have had zero luck. I’ve been fishing when its about 50-60 degrees and hit both the pier and shore. I’ve been using a medium heavy spinning rod and a variety of baits and lures that include: Zoom plastic worms, Tiki wave worms, crank baits of all kinds. I’m doing all this and I still haven’t even got a BITE this Spring. Possibly still to early or what can I do to make my fishing more efficient? If someone here at CupidFish could throw me some tips or even a knowledgeable about angling (more then me) would sure help.
Thanks! KC

One of my favorite types of fishing is Shore/surf fishing for shark and still trying to catch one. So, my question is, I want to know if chumming would be good for shore fishing or not, and if possible what would you recommend to chum with? Surf Fishing is when you stand on the beach at the ocean and fish with a 10 foot pole or more and cast over the waves.

Hey all I am a NEW avid Fly fisherman that is now addicted. Anyway, I and have fished lakes for Bluegill and Bass and some rivers for Trout. Okay so what I do know is The Department of Conservation has released Rainbow Trout in 6 lakes close to my house and three of the lakes are for Fly Fishing only. Very COOL! So how to you go about fishing lakes for Trout? Can I use dry flies like I do in rivers? How do you fish a dry fly in still water? Should I go with a streamer or not use a dry fly? Float a nymph or glow ball under a strike indicator?– …or what do you suggest? Ozzy in PA

Hello all I am new here and had a question or recommendation for my first boat. I like to bass fish, but I’d also like to have a boat that can be used for wakeboarding/skiing. As mentioned, I don’t know much about boats, but would like to get into it if I were to get a boat for fishing. What’s a good type/model to look into??

I like salmon a lot and here in Alaska, we can almost eat salmon everyday. Is eating too much Salmon bad for you? I’ve read there is mercury is in fish, but I thought was mainly ocean fish? In short, I could easily eat salmon every day and don’t get me started on the roe. Thanks- Jon AK
