Shakespeare Wonder Rod problems

Shakespeare Wonder Rod

Hey all! Had a quick question. I got a Shakespeare Wonder Rod, but it has a few more labels on it that I don’t know about. My son, recently got this rod at an estate sale as a fathers day gift. I’ve been trying some surf fishing as opposed to pier fishing, and I didn’t want to invest a lot of money for something I was not sure about. Anyways, the rod has the Shakespeare Wonder Rod label, then an Omni Action label (as far as i can tell, it is a little scratched) and then a Carboloy label. What does this mean?

FYI the wonder rod label is the make and model of the rod. the omni action label is just a word they made up and added because it looked cool. the Carboloy label is probably the best one because it is telling you that the rod has carbide guides made by the Carboloy company which were some of the best ones available. they will shatter if dropped or hit but your line absolutely will not cut through those guides like it will with stainless steel ones. they would only put those guides on a better quality rod that they built to last. a good buy.
