Shallow creek bass fishing advice needed. I found a great creek with lot’s of shade trees and unfortunately, a lot of bait-fish ie., minnows. Any suggestions or advice on alternative baits to catch these largemouth bass? The creek is clear and I have seen some 4lber bass in there so I’d like to know if there is an easier method because they are NOT biting live bait.

Hey all are there any Kentucky anglers here? It looks like I will be fishing Lake Cumberland this coming week, September 26th to be exact and looking for advice on fishing in late September? I am somewhat new to Kentucky fishing and my new area , so any advice/explanation of terms would be appreciated. I usually just fish with live worms and minnows in lakes near my house and Lake Cumberland is just a few miles down the road. Need information is the type of lures, bait, reel, rod, fishing depth, time of day, etc. sure would all be helpful. Very new to Lake Cumberland, like I said. Thanks in advance. Great site BTW, fishing and dating..what could be better?
Thanks, David!

I’ve met some nice women in the past online and gone on a few first and second dates but I catch myself rarely going beyond that. I got it down to possibly over analyze or over-think the situations between the women and a bit too much. Then I get nervous and panic sets in and I just don’t want to make a commitment. Now the odd part is, when it comes to a women I’m not interested in, I’m very much relaxed and myself and that women ends up being attracted to me but I’m not interested in her. A little bit background on myself. I am 21 and an avid outdoors man and a very dedicated and hard worker. I feel I need some advice or tricks on how to mix both scenarios and be relaxed and myself around a women that I like.

Thank you for your input.

Hello, I have a quick question about fishing? I have been somewhat of a casual angler for a little better part of a decade. For years, I used what was cheap at Wal-Mart and hit the pond for an hour or so. This year it all changed, I started using crankbaits, and hitting the water daily, and this spring, summer, fishing season I turned into a serious fisherman. What is holding me back is my serious knowledge of fishing gear, knots, and baits, I got a good handle and know where the right locations are and this summer I caught a lot of fish. So now I want to buy a very nice rod/reel setup. Any anglers here at Cupidfish give me some suggestions on nice reel and decent rod? I am a freshwater fisherman and fish rivers on a boat, lakes, and ponds. Aany suggestions would be great, thank you- Dean in WV

Hey all thought I would join and ask what your favorite fishing rod, reel, line, lure, and hook ETC? The only consistency I have when fishing freshwater the fish either snaps my fishing line or breaks my fishing rod. Because of this I always tend to lose the fish because I can’t seem to catch a lot of fish, but when I do their really hard to lure in
and I fish for walleye and northern pike. Also, I have a Shakespear E-Z Cast rod and I am a little lost and don’t understand how to put the line in the holes. It’s not push button, I haven’t used this rod in a while and I am about to go camping/fishing.
Your thoughts, advice, or opinions are more then welcome,
Eric

I hate wasting fishing line, but I did not put enough fishing line on my reel, so now when I fishing from shore my line can’t go deep enough. Is it a good idea to tie two lines together or a knot you would suggest to be good enough to hold at best, a 10lb fish? I am just too lazy to re-string the reel and it is a backup rod/ reel to boot! In short, would a good knot work?

Best method for cleaning your fishing gear ie, rods and reels? Thought i’d check in and ask for the best methods and material that you all would use to clean your fishing rods, reels, and gear? I’m am probably like many anglers that usually use wd40 and it seems to work well but there must be a better solution for cleaning them?
Suggestions/advice?

Hey all I thought it would be a good idea to post here and ask and mix up all the “fishing” questions and get the subject back to the theme of CupidFish. I just turned 27, she is 27 and we met online, talked a lot on phone. We had a great first date, things went really well. The next day I got a texted message asking if I was interested in getting together/outdoor activities. The second date was great and we put the hurt on some crappies, went to her place, kicked on the grill, and hung out, cuddled on the sofa, lots of laughs, stayed until midnight and then went home. On my drive home I texted saying I had a great time etc, she said she had a great time as well and sorry for keeping me so late. This was 2.5 days ago and I don’t want to come across as anxious since shes beautiful. I saw her twice within 3 days and she works mon-wed nights at a hospital this week so probably cant see her for a few days anyways. When do I call her or text her next?
