Hello all thought I’d start a fun post for a Friday morning. Titled your best fishing story. I was deep sea fishing in Homer, Alaska for halibut and notice my rod get a good strong tug, So I set the hook, the fish took off like a bat out of hell, I was able to slow her down and then started to reel it in, she broke the surface, it took off again and this happened a number of times, it took me a good 45 minutes to bring her in from first pull to land, it was just too big to pull it on the boat, I had to slowly tow it to land, gaff it, and drag it to land. I didn’t weight it, but it had to weight at least 150 lbs and a fish I’ll remember for a life time!

I can survive Alaska alone. I’ve been watching all the survival shows on how they go to different places in the world and survive for a week or two. Anyway some day I plan to go to Alaska and get away from civilization and stay for a year. My general plan is to have a bunch of supplies for the trip and plan to hunt and fish a lot too. Then in summer I plan to grow vegetables and have a bunch of ammunition for guns for all the year. There is a lot of supplies I would need and I am definitely going to have a lot of can food and sugar salt etc. So my my question for some survivalists or Alaskans is that what is the most important supplies to bring just give me a bunch of ideas and this is a odd question and I thank you for answering?
