Afternoon all. I thought I’d post here because I have read some great answers by some good folks to very difficult questions. I am always on the lookout for rare fishing lures and have built up a good collection over the years trading with friends and family. Currently, I am looking for a lure, it is made by lucky craft, it is small, they come it different sizes/colors, the larger ones are about an inch long, and small one is 3/4 inch. They are a gundrop shape, the package says they are sammy specials, they are used for drift fishing for steelhead. I am almost certain they’re made out of balsa wood.
Can anyone help me find some….Jesse in Oregon

Hey carp anglers! I’ve been seeing huge grass carp in the lake where I fish, with some looking almost four feet long or more and it has me excited. I’ve heard they do not taste very good, but they do look like they will put up a good fight. By the way, these are not your regular brown carp and think these grass carp were actually stocked in this lake.
They are NOT going for the dough bait or even regular bait used for carp. They wont even eat a nightcrawler. Suggestions advice? …Thanks Scott

Fluorocarbon leader attachment question? If I want to attach a fluorocarbon leader to the end of a braided fishing line for the invisibility when fishing in clear waters would I use a swivel or just tie a double uni? My goal is when Texas Rigging or some other slow moving tactic. Also I am talking about when I am using a bobber presentation for panfishing.
What do you think? Richard.

Alright here is what I have cooking or my idea. I have a 14′ aluminum fishing boat and my problem is, it has three bench style seats. I would like to remove these “benches” and put in a plywood floor, then mount seats on posts, add a live-well, and possibly a bin or two. I have absolutely no idea how or if this is even possible. ANY help at all will be appreciated. Websites would be awesome, or if you’ve done something like this and don’t mind getting a million questioning emails, leave your address! Thanks so much, and tight lines this summer!- Jerry

Good morning CupidFish! My name is Tony and I am new here and I see a lot of good questions and even better answers! Anyway, here is my question, when I am fishing with spoons should I use a Swivel? Meaning, when I am spin-cast fishing I almost exclusively use spoons or spinners, attached to a fluorocarbon leader off of braided line. Since I use braided lines I am not too concerned with line twists, and I could replace the leader easily. Would attaching a spoon or inline spinner directly to the line instead of attaching it to snap swivel give the lures more action, or should I just keep using snap swivels? -Thanks Tony

What is the correct method on hooking a minnow while fishing? I honestly don’t know what I am doing wrong when hooking a minnow because they die really fast. Over the weekend I bought a bucket full then went to the lake and every time I hooked a minnow it was dead within minutes. I think it would just be wise to switch to dead bait or lures that I am use too. Any advise for me? Thanks in Advance- Bill in TX

Hey CupidFish anglers I thought id report Im having a real issue with a Bass Pro Shop Baitcast Reel model MC-1. I purchased it new for Spring fishing and instead of sending it back it just could be my fault. It’s simple and the reel won’t reel in and have not a clue why? Do any of you have any tips or solutions for me because I am ready to slam this thing on the ground.
Kind Regards,- Chuck in St. Pete
