Striped bass fishing with live bait.
Tuesday, July 27th, 2010
New member here. I thought I’d ask a question about using live bait for striped bass. I understand when fishing for striped bass they don’t start out in life looking to eat an artificial lure and understand they will hit what is natural. My lake in (SE) the bass are slowing down on any lures and now want to try live bait. I understand stripers are likely to hit the live bait during these colder months.BUT if you were going to use live bait now what would be your first choice? Thanks in advance!

Monday, May 24th, 2010
Hello, I had a quick question too. What is the best line for my baitcaster reel? I will be fishing mostly for bass and want to possibility go for stripers and other bigger fish. I am getting the setup together now looking to get a 7ft med heavy abu vengence and I have a revo. I have 12 lb stren now but I dont like it (any suggestions?) Id like to flip and pitch with it once in a while I imagine what is good for the revo is good for the tourney special from BPS. Thanks in advance..
Fish identification help needed
Monday, May 24th, 2010
Good morning CupidFish. I had a question for California Delta anglers on the type of fish I caught this morning in the California delta. It is not the best picture, but it has really rubbery lips and on its back it is blackish grey and on sides it is completely silver, I caught it on dough-bait and put up a good fight too. I don’t think it is a striper. Any help would be appreciatedYour favorite fish to catch?

My favorite is to catch Bass as they are tough fish and brim for sandwiches and a couple of catfish are ok too. My second favorite is hybrid striped bass fishing here in the south. There is a small dam not far from where I live. I tie up near it when its generating. Nothing like fighting in a 10-30lb hybrid! Of course Crappie fishing in the spring is a blast too! So what’s your favorite fish to catch?- Mike in Arkansas

Striped bass fishing on Lake Martin Alabama?
Saturday, April 24th, 2010Lake Martin Alabama striper fishing any good? If so, what method would you recommend artificial bait for them or live bait for them? If you have fished there do you have GPS Coordinates to good stripe fishing locations? Also if you have GPS Coordinates for good Large Mouth bass fishing spots on Lake Martin id love those to. and what did you use to catch them? I know I asking a bit too much, but I have other area lakes I’d be willing to share my honey-hole spots for trade!
Tight lines,
Mac
The best place to find stripers
Saturday, April 3rd, 2010
Morning all! I’ll be heading out to my local lake (Beaver lake Arkansas) and will be fishing for stripers in the morning after services and needed some general tips on where/how to scout out a good places to catch stripers. I don’t have a boat (yet) and wonder if I should go for other fish instead? So my question, is the Striper Bass Biting/ Catching good from the shoreline or riverbank or lake, etc..?

Good rod/reel setup for striped bass?
Thursday, March 25th, 2010 Hello all! I’ve got a quick question for the striper anglers here at CupidFish. What’s a good rod/reel setup for striped bass? I’ve been fishing off the surf in NJ. I already have a descent bait rod now I just need to buy a rod to throw lures i.e poppers, bombers, diamond jigs, bucktails, etc. What size, brand rod should I get? What kind of reel? (lb test/yards). I’m looking to spend anywhere from $100 to $150. Thanks- Josh
