Any Oregon anglers here? I am just NE of Portland and I really like to fish and I’m interested in fishing in the Columbia river. Looking for tips or pointers on the type of gear to buy (non-Fly fishing) and will be fishing from the shore. I am looking for what rod/ bait type you would suggest and I need to fish for sturgeon or salmon. I don’t have a boat and I interested in an affordable rod/reel set up. Any help or direction would be appreciate especially native Oregon anglers.
