Hello all, thought I’d post a slight problem I am having with my bass boat live well and see if any other bass fishermen or women could help me? I bought a used bass boat (second owner) and having problems figuring out the correct way to fill up the live well. I usually just turn on the freshwater switch (on manual) to fill the live-well slowly and other times it just will fills up on its own? My freshwater switch works on recirculate only not manual and when I’m ready to drain the live-well have to turn off the main fuel switch and it usually drains and to top it all off, the speedometer doesn’t work at all. Any suggestions to try and re solve these problems without taking it to a dealer? I am also looking for a original manual for this boat it’s a 1992 nitro bass boat 150 evinrude high performance. I thank you very much for any information that you can provide. Thanks again,
Gus in Georgia.

Hey all I hope you are having a great Sunday. Now, let me get to my question that I see has been asked more then a few times here. I started dating a women I met (on another site) and we had a great first date over desserts and coffee. Now I am planning my second date and want to do something else other then a movie or dinner? The next date is set for the (next) weekend and it’s too early yet, for cooking her something her at the house. Movies and dinners are so common that I just think they’re downright boring. I was thinking maybe comedy club, but if it bombs it will be awkward. I really want to take her out on my bass-boat but was thinking this might be a bit to early or she might get board with me focusing more on the bass then her
. Seriously, any suggestions would be great.
Please suggest something unique and a safe bet if you could … Robert in WV.

I also want to ask a question about wanting to buy a bass boat. There are a lot of pros on some of the choices I am am looking at, but the cons are would a bay boat be better suited for my needs?. I’ll be fishing in salt/brackish water during the summer, but the rest of the year I’ll be will be bass fishing in lakes, etc. What should I do or better yet, anyone here on CupidFish have a solution on or advice?
Terry

Hey all thought I’d check in and contribute a bit. I am Bobby from Louisiana and am really into fishing and see I’m not alone.

. So here goes, I want to get a cheap boat that can fish for trout and redfish. Should I get a bass boat or a flat boat. It has to be inexpensive ($4000 or less) so it will have to be used. Which should I get?
Thanks Bob-LA

Hey CupidFish bass anglers! This is what I was thinkinh about doing. First, buying a used kayak for bass fishing my local river fishing. Currently, I have a 16′ canoe that I am using now and I will paddle it about 2 to 3 miles upstream and fish my way back. My success has been terrific catching a minimum of twenty bass both spotted and large-mouths. I’m looking a a 15′ ocean kayak but I,m not sure if this is what I really need. I’m concerned with the size. Is it to big or should I look into something smaller. I need enough room to keep some fish alive in a cooler and have storage for tackle and extra clothes drink cooler etc. I would like to throw it in the back of my truck and carry it that way without buying a trailer. Any advice would be appreciated.

It looks like i’ll be fishing my first bass tournament as a co-angler soon. I am a bit nervous and need ideas on what I need to throw at em? I will be fishing from the back of the boat and my boater may be bed fishing as they should be spawning now. My options will more than likely be limited to cruising bass that have not locked on to beds yet. I have never fished this lake before and would appreciate some insight to what they like best. I was thinking swim jigs craws or topwaters?

I am another angler crazy about bass fishing from a boat, shore, or wherever. I mainly fish for smallmouth and largemouth and if any of them are good for crappies you could try for them also. If you had to make a list of 5 lures or at least three what would they be for each species.
Thanks. Jay

My heaven would be this. In the northwest corner of heaven there is a lake and the south side of the lake is a Cabela’s where the doors are never locked and there are no check out lanes. As you come out the doors, it’s your selection of boats. Do you want a 20′ bass boat with live well and the latest depthfinder and GPS, or do you want a 14′ johnboat with a trolling motor? You just hop in to the boat you want and go out on the lake. When you come back, there are people that will clean your fish for you if you want. It would be the coolest thing. Oh yes, and women, lot’s of girls! What do you think heaven is like?
