Crappie fishing a new lake

Crappie fishing lake
Hello CupidFish. I’ll be heading out this weekend and going to do some crappie fishing on a new lake. So my question is or wondering which day would be best? Let me explain. I will be  fishing a well maintained farm pond with clear water and good controlled vegetation. The lakes deepest end is 24 feet and the lake is a bit over 5 acres. There is a good number of  Channel Cats that are 10 pounds or greater, Large mouth bass, Green Sun Fish, Blue Gill, and Black Crappie. Saturday the forecast is going to be cloudy with winds up to 25-30 with tempature is 85 with a low of 65. Sunday might be stormy with 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms with winds up to 17 miles an hour. It will be 72 as the high and 60 the low. So my question is what day would be best to fish?

Setting up a farm pond for bass?

bass pond

Evening all! I have a question for farm pond owners. I moved onto a farm that has a 8 acre pond that has a lot of various different fish, crappie, catfish, largemouth bass, ETC. So I thought I’d give it a go and caught a few crappies and two very small bass. So my question is what would be the better way to catch larger fish? Plus what type of farm pond management direction should I go? But first back to fishing for bass. Currently, I am using a 7″ black worm with no weight so any tips would sure help.
