Float tube fishing rig

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010
Float tube fishingHello, from Mississippi! My new favorite way to fish is wade fishing for Largemouth bass in small rivers. So my question is if  I were to use my new float tube, what would be the best way to weight it? My thoughts were to possibly place a splitshot on the inside of it? A splitshot on the main line? A regular texas rig? A texas rig with a pegged weight? Or a completely weightless set up?
Thanks all for your or any advice,
Jonny in Misssissippi

The easiest method for salmon and trout

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010
The easiest method for salmon and trout and possibly walleye? I am going the Northern most part of Michigan and I’m packing in fishing tackle and we are kind of depending on fish for our 8 day hike. I am an experienced angler and I just want some pointers on inland lake fish. There will be bass, perch, walleye, salmon, trout, catfish and awful carp. What would be the easiest method to fish for walleye and salmon/trout? I want, and I am not sure the best way to go about it. Any info would be freaking sweet. thanks Dave

Is Crappie fishing really that good?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010
Is crappie fishing really that good?  Sorry, I mean the actual taste of the fish?  I fish a lot for Bass and it’s delicious, but not a fan of fishy tasting like trout. However Salmon – fresh wild – is excellent. So, we are going to try fishing this weekend for Crappie, and we are wondering what fish would be comparative to the flavor of Crappie? I’ve heard great things about how truly delicious the fillets are cooked, but am I building it to much comparing to salmon etc?
Thanks;-)

Carp fishing a Joke in America?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010
I have noticed on the Internet that the UK/ European countries take carp fishing almost as serious as we do bass fishing. Yet, Americans think carp fishing is a joke our trash fish. I’ve fished for every fish before, catfish, carp, bass, panfish, walleye, but carp are the hardest fighting of any of those, yet they get little respect? They’re not nasty little things that just dirty up the water, they’re my favorite sport fish! At second I would put catfish. I just don’t like it, in bass fishing you’re continuously moving throwing a lure here and there and reeling, jigging, popping. I’d rather get some dough ball with 3 rods and lay them out while I’m enjoying myself and often wondered why carp are not considered sports fish in the US?

Best weather for fishing bass?

Friday, January 8th, 2010

I have read the best weather to fish in must have cloud cover, little wind, and low humidity. Is this all true.

-What does the water temp. have to be in order for the bass to be active?

-When the weather is about 50 degrees outside, Where will the bass be located?

-What should I fish with when the bass are less active?

-Is it better to fish with cloud cover or sunny?

Thanks much,

Josh

Hello from  Japan. I will fish bass in some lakes with fishing guides and want to  present some Japanese lures for them. I will go bass fishing to in Texas next April and I think it’s a good idea. But I have no ideas what to present. So I want to ask you what kind of Japanese lures are noticed in America? What pleases them ?

Pro bass fishing book suggestion

Monday, October 26th, 2009
Hello CupidFish folks. Sadly, winter came early and the lakes and streams are starting to freeze up. Meaning, bass fishing is over for me until spring and I not much of a TV watcher. Anyway, what is your favorite book that gives tips to fish freshwater bass written by the pro’s?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Was thinking about packing up my gear for the winter and just wanted a quick simple answer. All I need to know is if catfish and sea bass are out in winter. Or worth a try to get after them?
Thanks

Bass fishing winter tips..needed

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Jesse here (my nic in search) and had a quick question. I enjoyed fishing the summer and I did well bass fishing for my first year and I am hooked! Is it possible to keep fishing through Winter? I mean I know it’s possible or just let it sit for the winter? If so, do you go deep in winter and what lures do you suggest? Trust me, i’ll give it a try! I live in Oklahoma if that matters. Any tips would be great!
Thanks ALL
