Shakespeare Wonder Rod problems

Shakespeare Wonder Rod

Hey all! Had a quick question. I got a Shakespeare Wonder Rod, but it has a few more labels on it that I don’t know about. My son, recently got this rod at an estate sale as a fathers day gift. I’ve been trying some surf fishing as opposed to pier fishing, and I didn’t want to invest a lot of money for something I was not sure about. Anyways, the rod has the Shakespeare Wonder Rod label, then an Omni Action label (as far as i can tell, it is a little scratched) and then a Carboloy label. What does this mean?

Is there crab fishing in Florida?

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

florida crabI went to Puerto Rico last year and had a blast crab fishing. We used crab traps and caught and cooked a bucket full and it was delicious. I want to try crabbing in Florida and looking for some good crab fishing spots in Central WC Florida where it is possible to set traps close to shore or (if legal) off a pier or bridge with triangular crab traps?? Thanks ;-)

A great day on a Florida Fishing Pier

Monday, December 14th, 2009

It’s cold and thought I’d post a typical day in Florida fishing on the Walton fishing Pier. Great video besides the fact, there are NO rainbow trout in the ocean (lol) the weather looks great …damn!

Overnight pier fishing in Florida

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009
I am meeting up with family down in Punta Gorda Florida for the holidays and wanted to do a little pier or shore fishing.  Now my question is can you fish overnight until morning ? I know it’s a Holiday season and all but I can’t think of a better why to actually have a reason to get away for the inlaws. Thanks in advance.

Florida pier fishing “how to’s” please

Friday, October 30th, 2009

I  fish in Florida lakes alot but only catch hand sized fish. So I want to take up a notch and go pier fishing at jax pier in Florida. Any Florida pier anglers want to give recommendations on how to prepare my rods. They now have 10 pound test line. I need to know if I should change that. Also, the size hooks needed or what you’d recommend and everything else needed. Weights. Leaders? I will be using shrimp. THANKS!

Saltwater fishing lures advice?

Monday, October 19th, 2009
Hey fellow Cupidfish anglers!!!

Yet another newbie question. I am very much into saltwater fishing, but got the the freshwater bass bug. I usually use cut bait or shrimp when fishing off saltwater piers, but what should I use when trying for some trout and reds. What would be a few good lures to add to the empty slots in my tackle box?

Pensacola Fishing Pier bait recomondations?

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009
We’re going fishing tomorrow with our children and we are both amateurs. I was wondering what the best type of bait would be to get the best catch. Not necessarily looking for anything big. Just hoping to catch something. It’s for the “churn”! Lol! Thanks!

Pier fishing at Virgina Beach?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009
My family is going to the beach for vacation, and I want to do some fishing on the pier. Me and my boy just want to fish 1 days off the pier. Would I have to have a fishing license to do that? Are the local anglers friendly?
Regards,
JT
