Pond full of largemouth bass
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Hey all looking to get some feedback from other bass anglers here. I been given access to a new pond and need a bit of advice because the pond/lake is 64 acres, 30ft deep, sandy and mud bottom with hydrilla. The Pond is full of largemouth bass with zero structures on the pond or any stumps/rocks for the bass to hide. I’ve done pretty well with open water cranks and landed many 2lbers but with 30 ft depths I can’t find any large bass. This is a very healthy un-fished stocked pond.. any advice?

Setting up a farm pond for bass?
Monday, August 2nd, 2010
Evening all! I have a question for farm pond owners. I moved onto a farm that has a 8 acre pond that has a lot of various different fish, crappie, catfish, largemouth bass, ETC. So I thought I’d give it a go and caught a few crappies and two very small bass. So my question is what would be the better way to catch larger fish? Plus what type of farm pond management direction should I go? But first back to fishing for bass. Currently, I am using a 7″ black worm with no weight so any tips would sure help.

Float tube fishing rig
Thursday, July 22nd, 2010
Hello, from Mississippi! My new favorite way to fish is wade fishing for Largemouth bass in small rivers. So my question is if I were to use my new float tube, what would be the best way to weight it? My thoughts were to possibly place a splitshot on the inside of it? A splitshot on the main line? A regular texas rig? A texas rig with a pegged weight? Or a completely weightless set up?North Carolina river fishing?

Hey members! I got a job transfer and in a month I’ll be living in North Carolina and I am a avid bass fishing woman. I am starting to do some research via the net for some good inland fishing lakes/rivers in North Carolina? Obviously, I am looking lakes/rivers that have good fish numbers and a variety of species that you are almost guaranteed to be able to catch multiple fish not just bass.
More info:
My favorite fish (in order):
1.) Largemouth bass Smallmouth Bass
2.) Musky/Pike
3.) Walleye
4.) Trout (brown, rainbow, or salmon)
5.) Panfish (Crappie, Sunfish, Perch)
6.) Catfish
I’d sure like to hear from other to hear from other experience anglers fishing North Carolinas lakes/rivers. From the mountains to the coastal plains.
Thank you.
Largemouth Bass fly fishing bait
Saturday, July 3rd, 2010
Hey all, I have to work on the 4th but I have the rest of the week off and going camping and I am going to do some fly fish fishing and for (first time) largemouth bass. What is the best bait/fly to catch them with? I don’t think it could be much harder then lets say then channel catfish? I haven’t fished for a couple of years, but the last time I did was in the fly fishing and I caught a nice trout. If I could handle that I am thinking why not go fly fishing for largmouth bass? Thanks!
Considered Trophy largemouth bass
Wednesday, June 16th, 2010
What is considered a trophy largemouth bass? I’m new to bass fishing and went fishing two days ago and caught a very nice 5 .5 lb (15 inches) largemouth bass. I released the bass and I didn’t know if i should be regretting something right now. So could someone here explain what is a trophy largemouth bass? Is there a guide that goes from State-State or bass species type?
