Your best catfish bait? I will be relocating to Eest Texas (Tyler)  soon and I like to fish at night and was wondering what bait I should use or if here is a preferred bait for that area. I fish all kinds of cats and like yellow cats the best and I’ll be shore fishing and NOT trot-lining.  Also, any Texas cat fishermen here want to clue me in on fishing at night?

Lake fishing at night gear?

night fishing Hello cupid Fish! This is my first post to the blog. I’ll be heading out on Sunday night to do lake fishing at night in Ga., I’ll be going for bass more then anything. I was wondering if I should buy some glow-sticks. I am also bringing watermelon trick worms and was wondering if i should use something different for night? I figured that darker worms for night and light for day, but any other tips you want to cast my way?.. feel free to throw some ideas at me for bait/tactics. Thanks in Advance-JD in Ga.

Saltwater fishing at night?

I am a  little bit confused or disappointed? I went out for some saltwater fishing about a half hour in from the ocean this morning and caught a lot of  fish. The fishing conditions were horrible with lot’s of wind and chop. So today, I checked out the water and see it was calm and perfect and decided to try during the night. I went for about five hours starting at sunset and didn’t get anything except a few stingrays. The weather was warm-cool with little wind and nice calm water. Is saltwater fishing just bad during the night time or what?
