snook so hard to catch

This evening, Saturday I was out fishing (Florida on the Gulf) for snook and caught a nice little one and released the fish. Anyway, I was fishing under a bridge at night and it was  full of Snook under the lights. Just about anything I cast  in-front of them ie.,, DOA rubber shrimp, a plastic wiggle fish, frozen shrimp, they just would not hit anything. I’m getting tired of fishing all together. I can’t catch anything decent here. I don’t have a boat either and only go out when invited. Looking for tips and advice.

Any out there?- Lisa in Fl

Spinning reel

Hello, all I am new here and see some great questions and answers so here is mine if anyone cares to share.  So what is the top spinning reels for inshore fishing?Put in a factor of smoothness, casting, and strength. When I mention in-shore it does not necessarily mean light tackle for Florida fishing because it can/will give great opportunities for bull reds, monster snook, and migrating grouper or er….what I am shooting for.
