Southern Cal Rainbow trout fishing
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010Hey guys/Ladies I am Mike from Southern California and had a quick question about fishing trout. Do any of you guys have any suggestions to use when going river fishing for trout. I know its mainly rainbow trout and guessing they’re stocked trout because the last time the only thing that worked was powerbait. I know the basics for trout fishing, but looking for tips like whether to fish where it is faster/violent water, on the sides where its slower, deep water, shallow water, what time of day, etc.

Fall pier fishing in Southern California

This past summer me and my two boys really got into pier fishing and found something we call all do together and like. I live in southern California and mostly go to the Oceanside pier. Does anyone have tips for pier fishing for fall months? Were not doing as great as we were in the summer, but we can still see a lot of fish in the water and being caught. We are just not having any luck. What conditions should we look out for? Bait, ETC. Any tips are great!! Thanks.
