Lake fishing at night gear?

Saturday, July 24th, 2010
night fishing Hello cupid Fish! This is my first post to the blog. I’ll be heading out on Sunday night to do lake fishing at night in Ga., I’ll be going for bass more then anything. I was wondering if I should buy some glow-sticks. I am also bringing watermelon trick worms and was wondering if i should use something different for night? I figured that darker worms for night and light for day, but any other tips you want to cast my way?.. feel free to throw some ideas at me for bait/tactics. Thanks in Advance-JD in Ga.

Bass fishing is far from easy

Thursday, October 1st, 2009
I am new to bass fishing, but thought I was doing everything correct when on the water. I have read a lot on the Internet on different techniques  on catching bass and the gear used. I see a lot of my friends do it and it looks really fun.  I thought I’d also get in the fun, but so far not one single bass caught. The places I’ve been fishing is Little Seneca Lake, Clopper Lake, and Triadelphia Reservoir, all supposed good bass fishing lakes? I have even tried fishing from a boat, near shore but not too close, anywhere between 8-25 feet deep, trying to go for places with vegetation and fallen logs and such. I have been using Texas Rigged plastic worms, 5 inch Watermelon rigged to a 2/0 offset shank, 7 inch Black-red on a 3/0, and a 10 inch Purple on a 4/0, with a sinker attached. I cast them away from the boat, let them sink to the bottom, and then slowly reel them in and shake it around a bit, etc. I have also been using a few crankbaits, a crawdad and a minnow. So far I have not even hooked anything, I don’t even think I have even got any bites! What am I doing wrong?? HELP
